NEHİR Cutlery and Serving Utensils are made of Stainless Steel.
NEHIR guarantees that its stainless steel products are in compliance with the laws and regulations for materials in contact with food.
Stainless steel doesn't corrode or rust, and it doesn't leave water stains like regular steel. However, it's not completely stain-proof. Environments with low oxygen and poor circulation, as well as high salinity, can affect stainless steel.
Please keep this user manual for future reference. The purchase invoice must be kept intact during the product warranty period.
(In the User Manual: Cutlery, briefly: CKB and Service Utensils will be referred to as SG products for short!)
BEFORE FIRST USE
• When products are first unpackaged, they may contain residue, dust, and oil-like substances left over from polishing the steel. You should remove the products from their packaging and wash them immediately.
•Before first use, wash the entire surface of ÇKB and SG products with hot water and liquid detergent. (Never leave them in acidic chemicals such as bleach/vinegar, and do not boil them!)
• Use a high-quality liquid detergent and a soft sponge when washing. Do not scrub or clean with harsh substances or abrasive cleaning products. (Do not use wire or hard-surface sponges - they will scratch the products!)
• The products are intended for use as food/beverage. They should not be used for any other purpose.
• Products can be easily used in places such as homes, workplaces, dining halls, restaurants, bars and cafes.
• This User Manual is valid for all cutlery models and sets and serving utensils.
PRODUCT USE AND GENERAL INFORMATION
• Cutlery and serving utensils should not be used for purposes other than their intended purpose! (They should only be used as utensils for eating.)
• Do not whisk pots and pans while cooking with ÇKB and SG steel products. This will not only scratch the pots and pans but also damage your ÇKB and SG products.
• To prevent possible accidents, no actions or jokes should be made with ÇKB and SG products that could harm vital organs.
• Do not open cans, jars, bottle caps, etc., with ÇKB and SG (especially knives). This use will cause the product to become scratched, warped, or bent. Be careful of such situations during use. (*Our warranty does not cover such damage.)
• Do not expose ÇKB and SG products to direct heat. Do not heat the ends with open flame. This will darken the steel and cause injuries such as burns to hands and mouth. Improper heat treatment: If stainless steel is heat treated for the wrong time, at the wrong temperature, or under the wrong conditions, it can cause the stainless steel to react after heat treatment. This reaction can cause both darkening and rusting of the stainless steel. The main reason for this is that the protective layer on the surface of the stainless steel deteriorates and loses its properties. To prevent this, heat treatment at the correct temperatures, for the right duration, and for the right duration must be performed to maintain the material's physical and mechanical properties. In these and similar situations, heat treatment at excessively high temperatures, excessively rapid heating, or improper cooling can lead to complete material structure deterioration.
• Never use ÇKB and SG Products on electric ovens, wood/fire stoves, embers, or barbecue equipment. (Our warranty does not cover such damage.)
• Do not use ÇKB and SG products in microwave ovens.
• Do not sharpen knives! (Choose a knife set with appropriate blades for cutting foods such as meat, fish, vegetables, and cake.)
• For your and your children's safety, use ÇKB and SG products by holding them by the handles. Be careful not to use sharp-tipped knives and forks on or inside serving boards, containers, plates, or bowls. This will prevent serious injuries from accidental bumps, knocks, or drops.
CLEANING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS!
Handwash:
• Clean ÇKB and SG products regularly after each use.
• Products should be washed thoroughly immediately after each use, using hot water and liquid dishwashing detergent. Never use any other chemicals or acidic solvents. (Do not boil with bleach, vitriol, or similar liquids containing toxic chemical components!) (Our warranty does not cover this type of damage.)
• If products are not washed for a long time, food, beverage, and other residue left on the product can cause health problems. Additionally, ÇKB and SG products may discolor due to residue.
• Use appropriate, high-quality liquid dishwashing detergent and a soft sponge when washing. Do not use wire or surface sponges. Do not scrub or clean with harsh substances or abrasive cleaning products. This will cause the coatings on your ÇKB and SG products to become scratched and fade over time.
• A scratched CKB and SG product will, over time, cause corrosion and the black stains we call RUST. These marks, which initially appear as scratches, will eventually lead to rust! (Our warranty does not cover this type of damage.)
• It is recommended to wash Stainless Steel Knives by hand.
• After each wash, rinse your products immediately and dry them with a soft cloth. If the products remain damp and depending on the hardness of the water you use, gray limescale and mineral deposits may appear. (To remove these water stains, simply wipe them with cotton wool and pure lemon juice.)
Dishwasher Washing:
• Do not leave cutlery and serving utensils contaminated with food residue in the dishwasher.
• Rinse cutlery and serving utensils before placing them in the dishwasher, or run the dishwasher rinse cycle if the dishwasher does not need to be run immediately. Rust on stainless steel can be removed using a steel polish. The plastic coating on the baskets has been damaged and is damaging your ÇKB and SG products!
The plastic coating on the dishwasher is very strong.
It is resistant to chemicals found in dishwasher detergents. However, it can be mechanically damaged by cuts and abrasions in the plastic lining caused by long, sharp knives being placed in the basket. If there is a hole in the plastic lining, rust can develop from the metal frame of the baskets. Replace the baskets to correct this problem.
Water pipes made of different metals cause corrosion of CKBs and SGs!
• Water pipes leading to a dishwasher can be made of a variety of materials, including galvanized steel, copper, and brass. Different metals can react with each other, causing corrosion inside the pipes. Corrosion ultimately leads to rust in the water leading to the dishwasher.
Contact a plumber and have them check the water supply to the dishwasher. Floating rust: When rust forms in a dishwasher, it "floats" around during the wash cycle. This is why it's called "floating rust." Floating rust can settle anywhere in the dishwasher. This can cause brown, pulp-like stains on porcelain. For example, floating rust "landed" on a plate. Floating rust that has settled on dishwasher parts should be removed using citric acid powder or appliance cleaner.
1. Add citric acid powder or machine cleaner to the detergent dispenser and start the intensive cycle. 2. Once the cycle is complete, leave the dishwasher door open until the inside of the dishwasher is completely dry. Floating rust on dishes and cutlery can be removed using a steel polish.
Washing stainless steel products in the dishwasher can cause various dulling or scratches on the exterior due to detergent. Similarly, frequent dishwasher washing shortens the lifespan of the coating due to the high pressure of water. For long-lasting use, we recommend hand-washing your products.
The product does not require maintenance as long as the conditions specified in the user manual are observed. However, if an abnormal physical appearance occurs in the ÇKB and SG product,
You can get help from the Customer Service WhatsApp support line at +90 (535) 346 09 59.
